Overview: DIVA's Arts Education Program offers non-credit community education film seminars and workshops. This Spring, the Center offers a new seminar studying the films of great film directors. It also offer an on-going screenwriting workshop for those who have a screenplay under development. And, new this year, is a teen screenwriting workshop series offered in April-May.
The Great Film Director Seminar Series: This first Sunday of the month series will explore the unique work of a selected director and will include the screening of at least two of his/her films. Instructor: Thomas Blank. Click on individual seminars for full details.

All participants must register for these FREE seminar sessions.

Workshop: Screenwriting - Weekly. This screenwriting workshop meets each Saturday from 9am - 12:00 noon and is for those individuals ready to turn their script into a professional level screenplay. Class sessions are devoted to the review of student work and issues related to premise development, outline, draft, and revision of a script. Workshop: Screenwriting For Teens (April-May). This series of three screenwriting workshops has been designed to help students conceptualize an idea for a short film, turn it into a rough outline from which a screenplay is written and prepare it for shooting. There are three sessions. An individual may take one, two, or all three workshops. Workshops are held from 12:30 - 2:30pm on April 26th, May 3rd and 17th. Cost: $25 for individual workshops. $60 for all three. See: course outline for details and how to register.
