DIVA's expanded videomakers evening combines the opportunity to network and explore ideas with others and participate in a monthly competitive video slam on the second Sunday of each month.
SUNDAY VIDEOMAKER'S FORUM: 4:00 PM

The forum, is meant to inspire and assist upcoming video artists. Bring your completed or in progress work and take advantage the opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and techniques with fellow up and coming filmmakers
MONDAY VIDEO SLAM: 7:00 PM

Videomakers are also encouraged to bring their finished or works in progress to the Video Slam, They be screened in the friendly environment of an audience-choice slam competition with winners going on to an annual slam fest in December.
What is a Video Slam: The Video Slam is an opportunity to screen short video works by artists in the spirit of the poetry slam. At the end of each session the audience will choose a winning video. The monthly winners will be compiled into an annual Best Of The DIVA Video Slam program to be held at the end of the year.
Who can present: Anyone who can screen their work provided they attend the session in which their video is shown. We have a no-show/no-play policy.
What can be presented: All genres by students, amateurs, or professionals. Finished productions as well as work-in-progress can be screened. Please see disclaimer.
Slam Specifics:
- We encourage artists to bring their work to the DIVA Center by 6:45 PM the day of the slam if not attending the earlier Videomakers Forum.
- Cue and label all videos with name, contact information, title and length.
- Maximum time 10 minutes (shorter works preferred and exceptions may be made by Slam coordinator).
- Only submissions on DVD or VHS accepted.
- Not all submitted videos may be screened the date for which they are submitted do to time constraints. Early videos given preference.
- Artist must be present for actual screening - no show - no play
- Audience chocie videos will be compiled into a year-end "Best Of" reel for screening in December. DIVA also requests permission of winners to use their videos for possible promotion of the Slam event.
- No repeat submissions of a video within the same year unless it was originally screened as a work-in-progress.
